Jared Mathisen was born in Kingston Upon Hull, England, in the summer of 1987 and spent the first seven years of his life on the North East coast before he was moved to Derbyshire where he was raised for the remainder of his adolescent years.
Jared returned to the North East where he attended the University of Hull's prestigious Business School, attaining a Bachelors Degree in Management and Business Economics. He remained in Hull for a further year post-graduation before returning to the East Midlands.
Jared remained in the Midlands until 2018 when he relocated to Staffordshire where he now resides in in a quiet countryside village with a perfect view of the Moorlands from his office window.
Since graduation, Jared has worked in the legal industry. His career of over a decade involves copy writing and editing, project management, marketing, PR, and niche litigation work. He has authored and published thousands of articles as a ghostwriter, and edited thousands of pieces for over a decade. As a ghostwriter, his works as a writer and editor of articles and thought leadership pieces have been published in a broad range of online and physical media outlets, including in the mainstream media.
Jared is also an accomplished singer/songwriter, bassist and rhythm guitarist having previously played in cover bands for weddings, festivals and local entertainment venues, as well as in original outfits in the local Midlands rock and alternative scene. He is an avid supporter of Leicester Tigers and a proud England Rugby Union and Hull KR fan.
Aside from his busy career and hobbies, Jared (of course!) loves a good book, and has read an array of the mainstream classics and has a growing reading list that he works through on his weekday evenings; occasionally accompanied by a glass of single malt Scotch or a refreshing Irish whisky.
