It’s been a while; a time of change and discovery… The last time I blogged was to celebrate the victory of English rugby in the Six Nations. A lot has happened since then, and I’ve been hard at work; both in my personal life, and in my writer’s life. I’ll keep this brief; like many stereotypical creative-types, I’ve been hard at work as I try to reinvigorate my personal circumstances and steer my ship of life in the course and direction that’s happy and fruitful. Many changes have occurred. In fact, today was supposed to be the day of my wedding. Thank god that didn’t happen… It isn’t the easiest of things to cope with when one discovers they’ve been living the wrong life. Thankfully, I’m back on track, and life has never been better. Writing has justifiably and rightfully come second-place to personal and emotional happiness; and I really couldn’t be happier right now. My writing has improved, and my current project – albeit delayed – is going well. My mission to publish my work continues, but now I find myself in the proper frame of mind, and in a somewhat arduous but better “place” when it comes to the pursuit of the perfect manuscript.
All is well. I am happy. I have work to do; much work to do. I’ll blog where I can, and publish where I can too. This is my writer’s journey. This is my life. For the first time in a long time, I’ve taken control of both. It feels good! JM
